Some e-store owners seem to miss the point when we talk about the impotance of graphic design aesthetics for their e-commerce website.  Lets face it some e-stores look bad and make visitors not feel comfortable buying and some e-stores look graphicaly pleasing to the eye and make you want to stay and check out the e-store.

Using an analogy, think of this in the traditional retail store, some retail stores you walk into are very clean, all products are displayed nicely throughout the store, the style of the store is appealing to your eye, these are the stores you feel like buying from.  Then there is the store that is not too clean, looks outdated, products are poorly organized, these are the stores that you generally take one look and turn around and walk out.

To understand pay per click budgets you really have to make an analogy to traditional advertising.  At a high level the budget depends on two items the number of products/services you are trying to promote and the geographic market you are targeting.  If you are promoting one product/service and you are promoting it in one province or state then the budget can be lower than if you are promoting 8 products/services and targeting the entire United States.

Attended a presentation by Amber MacArthur this morning.  Very knowledgable about Social Media.  Few items to communicate.  Best blogging software is still WordPress.  If you are into Podcasting check out www.libsyn.com.  If you are planning to start a “gated community like” social network look at www.ning.com.

If you have negative comments on your blog, don’t ignore them, comment back and be nice as they want to argue and bother you but if you are polite they will get frustrated and go away.  Forums are still useful but they require a lot of management.
