First things first, what is a wireframe? Wireframe:  A basic visual guide used in interface design, to suggest the structure of an interface and relationships between its pages. Think of it as a detailed blueprint of a building, showing things such as fire escapes, rooms, and layout.

Wireframes over time have become the starting point for pretty much any custom website design/interface I make. There are many different options when it comes to making wireframes. You can use wireframe programs, mock them up in Photoshop, etc. the list goes on and on. But I find the best, and fastest way to get things done is to draw it out with a good old pencil and paper.  With pencil and paper you can quickly make changes, write down notes and things along these lines. It’s both fast and easy.

I recently watched Carnegie Mellon University professor Randy Pausch’s Last Lecture and was blown away by this man’s honesty, his sense of humour and the things he’d accomplished in his life, even though it was tragically cut short by cancer. He was a computer science teacher who started the first program dedicated to virtual reality.

I think everyone can learn something from this man about how to set goals for yourself, make decisions about what’s important in life and keep focused.

Mozilla introduced a new feature for browsers, Mozilla Geode. What is Mozilla Geode?

…an experimental add-on to explore geolocation in Firefox 3 ahead of the implementation of geolocation in a future product release. Geode provides an early implementation of the W3C Geolocation specification so that developers can begin experimenting with enabling location-aware experiences using Firefox 3 today, and users can tell us what they think of the experience it provides. It includes a single experimental geolocation service provider so that any computer with WiFi can get accurate positioning data.

We are heavy Gmail users and we love the new features at “labs”. Which one? “The Mail Goggles” and the “Mark as Read” button.

Pretty cool and useful.

About the Mail Goggles – “Google strives to make the world’s information useful. Mail you send late night on the weekends may be useful but you may regret it the next morning. Solve some simple math problems and you’re good to go. Otherwise, get a good night’s sleep and try again in the morning. After enabling this feature, you can adjust the schedule in the “General” settings page.”

What is search engine optimization in relation to social media marketing? Is social networking the same as social media marketing? Will your search engine rankings improve? Will you see an increase in business, actually targeted users are needed and will social media really work for your business model? First lets explore the types and possible benefits.

Social media websites and networking web sites provide you an easy way to connect with people who share similar interests like you. Some social networking websites group people with common interests, but some websites are “traditional networking sites” and allow you to search for friends based on your interests.
