The Company
Canadian Footwear was established in 1932 and has grown into one of the most well respected footwear solution providers in Canada. Essentially, Canadian Footwear is a “footwear pharmacist” who dispenses "medication" in the form of socks, orthotics and shoes. Expert footwear advice coupled with a great selection of footwear separates Canadian Footwear from the competition.
The Challenge
Canadian Footwear was providing excellent products and service to their customers in their retail stores. However, they were not mirroring this strategy online. They had a simple static website that did not properly promote their differentiators and they did not have an online store. Finally, they did not have a system that they could efficiently update their product online catalog and communicate their footwear knowledge to their customers.
The Solution
Canada’s Web Shop recommended an exhaustive requirement analysis to determine exactly what Canadian Footwear desired to communicate online. After the completion of this analysis, we were able to plan the solution and cater to the needs of their customer base. E-commerce Bold was implemented and satisfied all their inventory, product display and content management needs.
The Results
Their e-commerce solution does an excellent job of mirroring the unique strategy they use in their retail locations. Customers that are not close to one of their retail locations can now enjoy the same selection and service through their online store.
