Bee Maid Honey

The Company

Bee Maid Honey is in charge of marketing the entire volume of the Honey Co-Ops of Western Canada, with plants in Edmonton, Bassano, Tisdale, and Winnipeg. The company is owned by the Beekeepers of Western Canada. They have great pride in their ownership of Bee Maid and take extreme care to provide the best quality honey. There is no other honey company in Canada that sources all its honey from its owners. This structure ensures that the source of honey is consistent in quality year after year, bottle after bottle.

The Challenge

Bee Maid Honey approached Canada’s Web Shop with two challenges. First, they needed to sell beekeeping supplies to all their beekeepers through an E-commerce store. And second, they needed to migrate their current website (with an extensive archive of content) to an architecture that is easy to navigate and easy to update for their marketing department.

The Solution

Canada’s Web Shop implemented E-commerce Bold e-store software, which offered a user friendly experience for the Beekeepers to purchase all their beekeeping supplies. The beestore allows Bee Maid to completely manage their e-store through an easy to use backend administration. First problem solved.

We worked with their advertising company’s graphics and developed a new Bee Maid Honey site that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The site is extremely easy to navigate and offers the visitor easy access to all their website’s great information.

The Bee Maid marketing department was extremely satisfied as they have complete control to edit, add and move pages within their website. We implemented our WebCMS website content management system which allows complete management control of the website by non-web programming staff of Bee Maid Honey. Second problem solved.

The Results

A satisfied customer who is now selling supplies to beekeepers and satisfying visitors with rich, easy-to-find content. They have increased visitation and their online sales are growing consistently.
