WebCMS new features

To ensure that you, our client, always have the best product to meet your business needs, the WebCMS Content Management System is always undergoing improvements and upgrades to enhance or extend its functionality. Below is a list of features and upgrades recently added. Note that some of these new features have automatically been added. Others may require you to contact Canada's Web Shop in order to have them added.

• Copy From Page - The WebCMS has now added the ability for you to copy existing pages on your website and apply them to new pages that you create.  Like the layout of a particular page on your website?  By clicking the “Copy From Page” button, Web Shop CMS will create a new page for you that is identical to the page you select.  All you do is fill in your new content, click the save button, and voila!
  
• Events Module - Does your business have events that you want people to know about? Social Gatherings? Speakers? Fundraisers? Regular Meetings? Businesses that post events online for their customers and staff can take advantage of the new events calendar functionality for an easy way to organize events on their websites. Adding new events takes only seconds and shows up on your events page instantly.
  
• News/Blog Module - News articles and blog entries are made easy with the new News/Blog module. News/Blog allows you to quickly and easily post articles and editorial content in a standardized way to your news or blog archive on your site. You select an image for each article and the News/Blog module sizes the image to fit your page and generates a thumbnail image for use in your News/Blog archive on your site
  
• Page List in Hyperlink Menu - You used to have to type in the page manually if you wanted to link to another page in your website with the hyperlink menu.  Now, you can select the page from a list of pages on your website and WebCMS will create the link for you.  Full instructions are in the new CMS Reference Manual available for download once you log into your WebCMS. 
  
• CMS Reference Manual - Your Web Shop CMS is a sophisticated tool with some pretty advanced features for editing and creating content for your website.  With that kind of functionality, it’s pretty easy to forget what a few of the buttons do. To make things simpler, we’ve put together a short reference manual with the basics covered such as adding a page, creating a hyperlink, adding an image, and more.   To download your copy: Log into your CMS and click the “Help Manual” link at the top of the page. Note: You may need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the manual.
